Fra Rogaland med rock!

Consolation Prizes så dagens lys allerede i 2013, men ble stille etter kun to spilleoppdrag ettersom bandmedlemmene bodde på ulike kanter.

Mange år, og noen musikalske prosjekter senere (blant annet bandet 2nd Try), begynte Consolation Prizes å gi liv av seg igjen. Det skjedde under et mangeårig misjonsopphold i Estland, hvor den musikalske inspirasjonen kom fra 70-talls garagerock og shock-rock.

Mot slutten av 2022 har bandet virkelig vist seg levedyktig. Sounden kan sies å ha blitt hardere, hvor skandinavisk inspirert rock møter melodiske harmonier.

Consolation Prizes

Consolation Prizes first saw light in 2013, but eventually ended after only two gigs, as the band members lived in different places. After several years as a vocalist in the band 2nd Try, Consolation Prizes was started during a long-term missionary stay in Estonia, strongly inspired by 70s garage and shock rock. The band has mostly been dormant, but got a new start towards the end of 2022 after several revival attempts. The sound has become both slightly harder and more melodious than the starting point, where Scandinavian-inspired rock meets melodic harmonies. Now they are making the trip from Rogaland to the SÅ festival!
