Johanne Thingnes Leira (f.1991), er ein biletkunstnar basert i Bergen. Ho arbeider i hovudsak med figurativt maleri, ofte med utgangspunkt i foto. Johanne kjem til Så for å stille ut tre av sine maleri.

Med ein bakgrunn som sjukepleiar undersøker ho det langsame, som ei motvekt mot det hektiske systemet ho er ein del av i helsevesenet. Gjennom maleriet utforskar ho nyansar, speglingar, og farge. Ved å dvele ved motivet forsøker ho å stoppe opp og sjå kvardagslege situasjonar i eit nytt lys.

Johanne er på andre året på bachelor i kunst ved Kunstakademiet i Bergen. Frå før har ho gått eit halvår ved Højskolen i Holbæk 2020, samt tre år på deltidsutdanninga i billedkunst ved Nydalen Kunstskole i Oslo (2019). Ho har også ein bachelor i sjukepleie frå 2015.

Johanne Thingnes Leira

Johanne Thingnes Leira (b. 1991), is a visual artist based in Bergen. She works mainly with figurative painting, often based on photography. At Så she will exhibit three of her paintings.

With a background as a nurse, she examines the slow, as a counterweight to the hectic system she is a part of in the health care system. Through the painting, she explores shades, reflections, and color. By dwelling on the subject, she tries to stop and see everyday situations in a new light.
Johanne is in her second year of a bachelor’s degree in art at the Art Academy in Bergen. She has previously spent six months at Holbæk University College 2020, as well as three years of part-time education in visual arts at Nydalen Art School in Oslo (2019). She also has a bachelor degree in nursing from 2015.
